Majjige

Majjige is a refreshing South Indian buttermilk drink made with yogurt, water, and spices, often flavored with majjige pudi for a tangy and flavorful twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt (curds)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-2 teaspoons majjige pudi
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare the Buttermilk:

    • In a bowl, whisk 1 cup of plain yogurt (curds) with 1 cup of water until smooth and well combined. The consistency should be thin and smooth.
  2. Add Majjige Pudi:

    • Stir in 1-2 teaspoons of majjige pudi into the yogurt mixture. Whisk until the masala is fully dissolved and well incorporated.
  3. Season:

    • Add salt to taste and mix again. Adjust the amount of majjige pudi to your liking.
  4. Garnish:

    • Optionally, garnish with fresh coriander leaves for extra freshness.
  5. Serve:
